The Philips Iridium² is a family of road-lighting luminaires designed for performance and sustainability. The Iridium² allowed the local authorities to simply replace the old fittings with LED Luminaires and further allows for the LED light module to be upgraded in the future, without having to change the light fitting or the pole itself, but simply by changing the light engine. The Philips Iridium² includes 112 LEDs providing 21,126 lumens, a colour temperature of 5700k, and 95lm/w system efficacy.
The Philips Iridium² offered energy savings of 47,4 MWh per year, a 27% energy savings compared with the older 250W metal halide street lights they replaced and at the same time provides superb light quality. With a lifetime of 60 000 hours, in comparison to 20 000 hours of the previous luminaires, and a colour rendering of 68, the Iridium² ensures ease of maintenance.
